Are you in need of a checking account but unable to open one because of ChexSystems? Second Chance Checking is a six-hour class for individuals who are locked out of banking due to being reported to ChexSystems by their former bank.

This educational program is designed to help you get access to basic financial services, namely deposit accounts (checking and savings accounts), whether you have had problems managing your accounts in the past or if you simply have never opened a deposit account. By obtaining checking account privileges, consumers enjoy the convenience of not having to purchase money orders and cashier's checks to pay their routine bills and save money on numerous fees.

The program curriculum is focused on financial management practices. During this course, you can expect to learn:

• How to balance your checkbook and reconcile your statement
