Expanding Financial Capability

AAA Fair Credit Foundation (FCF) is a national ISO 9001:2008 certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization providing financial counseling, financial education, debt management, and asset-building programs. Our mission is to expand financial capability to ensure that individuals and families experiencing financial hardship have access to quality financial education, appropriate financial products, accredited counseling services and financial assistance. We serve to help consumers overcome the isolation many people feel when dealing with overwhelming financial burdens. Not only do our programs change lives and financial behaviors, they also help eliminate the outside distractions finances can cause.

Financial Counseling & Budget Planning
Our Certified Credit Counselors provide a free personal comprehensive analysis of your current financial situation. They will discuss a full range of options and strategies to consider for addressing your immediate financial concerns and lifestyle. These include a thorough written budget analysis, debt repayment options, financial education tools and resources, and more. Our Counselors will discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each option and make recommendations for which options are best suited to meet your individual needs, goals and circumstances.

Financial Education
Through either one-on-one financial counseling or our ConsumerCents® financial education empowerment program, we will provide you with information or even coach you through major life events such as buying a home or car, avoiding foreclosure, dealing with identity theft, evaluating your credit score, dealing with potentially illegal harassing collection calls, and much more.

Debt Management Programs
Through our debt management programs we help people become debt-free without a loan or bankruptcy. In most cases, our debt management program can help reduce monthly payments including other concessions from participating creditors enabling bankruptcy prevention and no additional debt accumulation.

Housing Counseling | Foreclosure Prevention | Reverse Mortgage Counseling (HECM)
Housing Counseling is designed to help current homeowners preserve homeownership, educate first-time homebuyers, and improve financial stability.

Individual Development Accounts (IDAs) | Asset & Opportunity Initiative | Center for Financial Capability
The Utah Individual Development Account Network (UIDAN), a multi-faceted microsavings program, provides low-wage working families with the opportunity, incentive, and institutional support necessary for them to save for and acquire productive assets that yield new wealth and long-term financial stability. The program matches $3 for every $1 saved for qualified participants which can then be used to toward education, home ownership, small business development, or assistive technology.

Workplace Financial Education
By providing people with access to financial education in the workplace, financial distress decreases and financial well-being improves. AAA Fair Credit Foundation's ConsumerCents® Employee Assistance Program (EAP) can be customized and delivered on-site at your location, at a time convenient to you and your staff. The same courses are available to churches, schools, and community groups in an effort to expand financial literacy.
